Last September my crew and me spend a few days in stunningly beautiful South Tyrol. We worked on their Summer Campaign for 2017. One of the shots was with a group of great models; we spend the afternoon on a gorgeous spot with an impressive view.
At sunset we noticed it was September already as the temperature dropped quickly, luckily we could keep all of us warm with good food and Italian wine. The other shot we made was a very early morning shot from a helicopter. The new Spring/Summer campaign "Whatever Happens" tells the story of Gijs, a young Dutch entrepreneur who is on business in South America for its startup in tea and spices. Gijs is not such an adventurer, but he makes it unexpected always-special adventures. He runs the startup along with his good friend and business associate Marc. Together they have already been several strange situations. On business in South America Gijs meets his girlfriend Angelica, and she travels with Gijs. During that trip they experience many adventures but they both know, Whatever Happens it will always turn out just fine! IJburg is made up of several islands, each with its own atmosphere and architecture and with its own group of youths. Each individual in this age-group is still searching for his or her own 'buildingplan' in these so carefully planned and executed environments – which have not taken this age-group into account. These individuals in an intrinsically insecure phase of their lives, set against an austerely structured background, fascinate me as photographer and as inhabitant of IJburg. Oscar van de Beek for Mercedes Benz Trucks.
For each shot the client wanted different variations with different trucks. Most of the trucks couldn’t move away from the factory. Our solution was to shoot the backgrounds and the models on location in a truck workshop, and then shoot the separate trucks extra at the factory. Perspective and light on the trucks had to perfectly match with our background. These were later brought together in postproduction. To the portfolio.

I first penciled sketches on paper, then vectorized with Adobe Illustrator and finalized in Photoshop by giving extra treatment such highlights and shadows and also making the transition of the photography nicely matched with the illustrative forms. To authentically reflect the aesthetics and special character, which the BMW design team gave the BMW 3.0 CLS Hommage.
All locations were scouted in advance of the shoot in Shanghai and Beijing. The individual back plates, but also the corresponding 360° spheres were photographed to go with the Previz during a second trip to Asia. All photos of the vehicle were created months later in the studio, the set of which was used at the same time to add reflections in the vehicle as well as additional brass elements in the architecture via CGI during post-production. I liked the way he looked, his crème collared shirt, which looked quite similar to the background. The soft orange chair worked as a dissonant. The combination of graffiti, the sculpture of Maria and the crucifix in the background made this place feel a bit surrealistic. Welcome to the renewed King’s Cross by Gregori Saavedra.
A giant new mural, illustrated by Gregori Saavedra, covers the former German Gymnasium in London. King’s Cross is being completed transformed. There is and will be a lot going on around this cool area. That’s exactly whit this huge artwork created alongside Socrates for D&D London is all about.
A celebration of urban life. The design itself has been inspired by King’s Cross, incorporating the huge range of activity taking place on site, all type of people enjoying the spaces, the new landmarks, restaurants and events of the renewed neighbourhood. This 790 m2 mural will be in place around the emblematic building while renovation work is ongoing until its completion in 2015.

Halfords campaign, made by photographer Martin Brent has been selected by the Luerzers Archive Magazine Vol. 6-2013. Now it's truly international. The Halfords campaign scored a very respectable Silver for the best use of Photography at Cream as well as Bronzes in other sections, shot for the Chapter Agency to launch the new pro biking services being rolled out by high street Halfords Partying down at the Jam House in Birmingham it was great to see so many familiar and friendly faces. The "Gatorade Benefit Project" by Adhemas Batista.
Gatorade has partnered with artists from around the world to create a dynamic print campaign featuring star athletes representing different sports such as NFL, Baseball, Tennis and Athleticism. The campaign features illustrations of the athletes that demonstrate the benefits of Gatorade products and drives at the idea that athletic performance is driven from the inside.
Commissioned by TBWAChiat Adhemas Batista was direct to illustrate a combo of 3 ads for the campaign including the artworks for Cam Newton, Derek Jeter and Usain Bolt, the visual direction was well accepted by PepsiCo and they invited Adhemas also for a fourth ad for JJ Watt and participate on a feature for MTV interviewing the star. Art Directors Club Nederland Yearbook 2013 "Monnikenwerk".
Yesterday, November the 28th, 2013 AD Club ADCN was renamed the monastery of creativity. On that day the new ADCN Yearbook 2013 would see the light. As a major innovation, this year's book appears not only in print but also in a digital version. Now the rest of the world can enjoy our remarkable creativity and inspiration more easily. The honour of creating the concept this year went to Joris van Elk and Floris Hulsmann (FHV BBDO), whose offline and online experience make them the perfect team for this book. Our illustrators Mr. Xerty, Stefan Chinof and Oscar Llorens did again a great job. Sergio Jimenez was responsible for the great typography.

Commissioned by Leo Burnett Tailor Made from Sao Paulo, Brazil to create two ornamented illustrations for the new print campaign for the Butter Toffees Arcor showing the new positioning "O seu momento unico" (Your unique moment). The proposal of the campaign is part of a marketing effort of new positioning of the product over the Brazilian market with the objective of elevate consumer recognition and strength the brand within the premium category. Oscar van de Beek again among the 200 Best Ad Photographers of 2014-2015.
Once again Oscar van de Beek has been chosen as one of Lürzers 200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide. 4 of his images are awarded and presented in the Lürzers awards book “200 Best Ad Photographers 2014/2015”. The prestigious international jury selected the images out of 8.600 submissions from 739 photographers in 55 countries. The Lürzers awards book is regarded as one of the highest quality photography competitions. Following the editions from 2008 onwards it’s an honour to be presented for the fourth consecutive time.

After the announcement of Burger King's sale to a brazilian backed private investment group, the company decided to change their advertising approach and replace advertising agencies. I was invited to participate on a "SWAT" effort to win the account for PereiraO'Dell an advertising agency from San Francisco and also backed by brazilian investors. The main briefing was to bring focus to the products and highlight them with more predominance on the entire communication. My role was to provide key-visuals which could work on a variety of creative concepts, empowering the logo and the products in a playful and seductive way.

Back on the water again, Oscar was shooting the newest luxury yacht from Ferretti. He shot a couple of images for the worldwide introduction campaign of the new Ferretti Yachts 960 model that means real classic Italian style! It is always a challenge to do a 'boat to boat' shoot on the open water. Luckily Oscar has experienced this more often. This time the circumstances were ideal, a gorgeous sunrise and hardly any wind. Martijn Oort (Amsterdam) was responsible for the new Pioneer at Work campaign for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. All landscape backgrounds are shot on locations in Spain, France and Swiss. "The eighties, the decade that made us" by Adhemas Batista.
The eighties was a magical decade full of content and important moments, I was born in 1980, so I was too little to remember most of those moments, but I have good memories of my childhood films, TV shows, music and events of this decade. In 2013 National Geographic launch their new documentary show about this amazing decade, talking about the events that made this wonderful decade that shaped who we are now and changed the way we live today. To celebrate the "80s the Decade that Made Us" launch party at the Austin's SXSW 2013 with the presence of "Girl Talk", I was commissioned to create a key visual illustration of representing the show with an energetic vein for the public of the fair. The key artwork was built to work as a combination of assets where the design team over National Geographic's office could be able to unplug pieces of the artwork and multiply it over their communication. Automotive photographer Martijn Oort went to China to shoot the new Peugeot 3008 campaign for the Chinese market. A total of 9 exterior shots were made in Beijing. Adhemas Batista discovered the rhythm of the new Fiat Panda. Batista was responsible for the illustrations for the Dutch campaign in assignment of agency Saatchi & Saatchi. The campaign was to let the new Fiat Panda play a significant younger role in a sponsorship for a musical event organized by broadcaster RTL called "...Viert de Zomer". The new Fiat Panda has three models named Pop, Easy and Lounge and could therefore be easily connected to music.
